Job Description
- Quality Culture Leadership: Create and embed a strong culture focused on the delivery of high-quality results, work ethic, and maintaining the highest standards of operation.
- Strategic Oversight: Lead the strategic approach to quality as a cornerstone of our local Food & Feed businesses, ensuring that quality management is integral to every process.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive laboratories forward through continuous improvement initiatives and effective management of corporate quality KPIs.
- Analytical Precision: Ensure all reasonable steps are taken to achieve accuracy, reliability, and repeatability of analytical results in all laboratory operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with teams to maintain regulatory accreditation and meet required standards.
- Innovation and Test Capability: Support the development of new testing capabilities to enhance the commercial offering of the business and expand Eurofins' technically demanding testing portfolio.
- Audit Management: Actively engage during external audits by national accreditation bodies and customers, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards. Address and oversee the completion of corrective actions resulting from audits.
- Cross-Functional Quality Support: Collaborate with teams outside of the lab, including logistics, to ensure quality standards are upheld across all stages of sample collection, handling, and transport.
- Training and Development: Lead the development and training of employees in the purpose and use of quality systems, ensuring all personnel are aligned with the company’s quality vision and objectives.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality management, testing methods, proficiency testing organization, and ISO 17025 quality management. Experience in leading quality initiatives and implementing best practices is essential.
- Quality Expertise: Strong experience in quality management, with recognition by a National Accreditation considered a significant advantage.
- Leadership & Influence: Proven ability to lead and influence teams, even without direct formal responsibility. Ability to guide, motivate, and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including interview, oral, and written communication. Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A structured, analytical approach to problem-solving with a “can-do” attitude. Ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver practical, efficient solutions.
- Languages: Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.
