The microbiological laboratory in Glostrup performs microbiological analyses of pharmaceutical products for many Danish and some foreign companies. We conduct a wide range of different analyses, so no two days are ever the same with us.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and result driven Team Leader to join our Microbiology Department. We perform classical microbiological methods according to Ph. Eur., USP and ISO, microbiological identification by MicroSeq and Maldi-TOF, endotoxin testing, growth promotion test, hygiene monitoring, validations etc.
As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and leading a dynamic team of professionals. The department consists of 36 employees covering microbiologists, laboratory technicians, laboratory assistants, QC assistants, student assistants, team leaders and department manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Employee Retention: Provide leadership to microbiology staff, fostering a positive and engaging work environment. Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and career development to retain talents.
- Coordination of Analysis: Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of microbiological analysis including taking part in the release of CoAs. Ensure that all analyses are performed and reported in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
- GMP & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to GMP standards and regulatory requirements in all microbiological operations. Support internal and external audits, and proactively address any compliance issues, including deviation handling and approval.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and seamless coordination in microbiology-related activities.
- Customer Relations: Maintain and enhance strong relationships with customers, ensuring their microbiological testing requirements are met. Provide timely and accurate updates, address customer concerns, and work closely with clients to understand their needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and the introduction of best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- QC experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
- Understanding of Lean principles and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage/coordinate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to build strong relationships withboth internal teams and customers
- Ability to set goals and deliver on KPIs
- Fluent in Danish and English – verbally and in writing
