Experienced Scientist for Target and Drug Discovery Innovation

As Gubra continues its rapid growth, we are expanding our Drug Discovery Innovation team. We are seeking an ambitious and experienced scientist with a risk-taking mindset to play a key role in identifying and kick-starting innovation projects that feed into Gubra’s discovery pipeline. In this team, our work primarily relies on accessible data and overseeing early internal proof-of-concept (PoC) studies. You will report directly to the Director of Drug Discovery Innovation, Morten Lundh.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate novel biological targets, with a focus on peptide-based drug discovery opportunities
• Initiate and lead innovative projects that align with Gubra’s strategic goals in drug discovery
• Collaborate with a diverse group of skilled scientists across various teams at Gubra to bring innovative ideas to life
• Communicate key findings effectively to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• A PhD in life sciences, such as molecular/cell-biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or medical sciences
• Extensive experience in the drug discovery industry, with a proven track record of successful innovation
• A passion for innovation, with the ability to navigate the risks associated with pioneering new ideas
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically assess new discoveries
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.

You will be appointed as either a Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist, depending on your qualifications and experience.
