Job description
The candidate is expected to perform research and develop research-based teaching within the area of advanced pharmacometric modeling aiming at advancing the field of precision medicine. We are seeking a candidate with an interest in developing next-generation data science solutions for tomorrows tailored medical treatment matching the individual patient’s unique biological characteristics and context, e.g. environmental, anthropometric and genetic factors. The preferred candidate will have experience with data science-founded translational approaches, leveraging preclinical and clinical big data to develop AI-powered pharmacometrics models and clinical decision support systems for precision medicine.

From an educational standpoint, the candidate will contribute to integration of advanced data science methodologies into the pharmaceutical curriculum with focus on the translational, clinical and quantitative pharmacology courses. We are seeking a candidate dedicated to equipping our students with the skills to address future healthcare challenges, with a focus on precision medicine and clinical support tools, including pharmaceutical applications integrated within electronic patient management systems. This will entail incorporating these topics into existing courses and participating in the development of new courses at all academic levels, as well as supervision of BSc, MSc, and PhD students.

In addition to establishing a new strong and independent research group, the candidate is also expected to establish collaborations with main stakeholders from industry, hospitals, and medicine agencies to develop practice-oriented courses, joint master projects, and internships.

The Center will finance a start package consisting of one PhD student (3 years) and one 2-year postdoc.

  • engagement in outreach activities both within the Center and with other universities and stakeholders
  • participation in formal pedagogical training programme for assistant professors

The tenure track assistant professor’s performance will be evaluated through annual evaluations. Furthermore, the tenure track assistant professor will be evaluated in a mid-track appraisal.
