What does it mean to be a Database Administrator at ZeroNorth

We are looking for an experienced and proficient Database Administrator with expertise in cassandra, dataStax astra, snowflake and other database technologies, along with strong skills in python for automation and scripting. The ideal candidate will also have significant experience working with cloud-based databases.

Key responsibilities:

• Install, configure and maintain cassandra, datastax astra, snowflake, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Resolve performance issues by optimizing performance with partitioning, indexing, and caching.
• Implement and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Comply with regulations by ensuring data security with access controls and encryption
• Collaborate on scalable database solutions and manage data migrations.
• Automate maintenance tasks and develop scripts for monitoring and backups.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot database issues.

Key required qualifications:

• Min of 3-5 years DBA experience with cassandra, datastax astra, and noSQL databases with scripting skills (python)for automation is a must.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, backup, recovery, and cloud databases.
• Soft skills: problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities
