Join our Finance Leadership Team! At Lunar, we’re on a mission to redefine banking across the Nordics. As a tech-powered bank, we’re breaking boundaries, combining innovative technology with financial services to disrupt the traditional banking landscape. With offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Stockholm, we’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a Head of Group Accounting and Controlling to help lead this transformation.

In this role, you will be located in our Copenhagen office, report to Robert Stambro, our CFO, and lead the Group Accounting and Controlling team. You’ll tackle challenges alongside your team, optimizing processes, and shaping a forward-thinking scaleable accounting function ready to meet Lunar’s next mission.

What will you do?

• Lead, coach and continuously develop the Group Accounting and Financial Controlling team, ensuring operational excellence.
• Lead and deliver the book closing, interim and annual reports.
• Manage corporate tax, VAT, and financial reporting processes to ensure compliance.
• Interact and coordinate activities with external auditors.
• Continuously develop documentation and automate processes surrounding the department.
• Collaborate across teams to identify and execute process improvements leveraging technology.
• Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Keep yourself updated on regulatory changes within the accounting and tax area
• Lead projects like streamlining bank reconciliation processes and insourcing accounting operations.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

• Have extensive experience in accounting and controlling, with a deep understanding of auditing and financial regulations.
• Have strong expertise in corporate tax, VAT, and financial reporting.
• Bring a solid grasp of accounting rules and practices, with a hands-on approach to team collaboration.
• Previous experience from fintech, or financial institutions and are drawn to a more dynamic. fast-paced and high-impact environment.
• Experience from a listed environment is seen as a plus.
• Track record of building and transforming accounting entities.
• Hold an educational background in accounting or finance.
• Excel in communication and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
