The role
You will be part of Viaplay Group’s cross-border legal function and report to Head of Legal & Business Affairs Content. You will act as a business partner to Viaplay Group’s Content team and Content Acquisition team, and you will be working in a creative and inspiring environment.
You will, together with the lawyers in the Legal & Business Affairs Content team:
- Draft and negotiate content related agreements, such as production agreements, content acquisition agreements, format agreements, talent agreements, etc.
- Help build and develop effective relationships with external partners and key business stakeholders
- Together with relevant stakeholders, align content rights with sublicensing, sales and customer needs to ensure back-to-back mitigation of risks and maximizing opportunities.
- Assist with other legal matters and internal approvals related to content
What we’re looking for
We understand you may feel more confident meeting some criteria than others, which is why we keep an open mind in our recruitment process. However, to thrive in this role, the following qualifications and skills are essential:
- Master of Law degree
- At least 3 years’ work experience, including hands-on experience in negotiating and drafting commercial agreements
- Native-level proficiency in Danish
- Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
- Being a solution-oriented team player with a strong ability to build relationships and deliver pragmatic legal advice to colleagues at all levels.
It’s an added bonus if you bring:
- Specialized knowledge in intellectual property law
- Proficiency in more than one Nordic language
- Experience in the film and TV industry
- A can-do attitude and a good sense of humor
