The role can be based at one of our offices in Nordborg, Graasten, Kolding or Copenhagen, with flexible remote work options available.
Job Responsibilities
As a Data Architect in Danfoss Power Electronics and Drives, you will be at the forefront of transforming our product and process development frameworks into a data-driven powerhouse. Your role will blend strategic vision with hands-on implementation as you:
- Define and lead the development of a consistent, reusable, and efficient data architecture that supports our digital workflows and aligns with business goals.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate process models into our digital ecosystem, enhancing efficiency and paving the way for innovation.
- Oversee the deployment of data pipelines, storage solutions, and frameworks by working closely with IT and DevOps teams, leveraging tools like Polarion, Teamcenter, Azure, and Azure DevOps.
- Implement best practices to ensure data security, compliance, and integrity across the organization.
- Continuously optimize data flows and system performance while reducing technical debt and preparing for future AI integration.

Background & Skills
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect who combines strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to drive impactful results in a dynamic environment.
You bring a solid educational foundation with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. With 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and technical leadership, you have demonstrated your ability to thrive in a matrix organization, working effectively across departments and teams.
Your technical expertise includes:
- Advanced knowledge of data modeling tools, data lakes, SQL, and pipeline design.
- Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as Polarion, Teamcenter, Azure, and Azure DevOps, integral to data and process ecosystems.
Beyond technical proficiency, you possess:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to address complex challenges.
- The ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner to diverse stakeholders.
- A visionary mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and take calculated risks to drive innovation.
Experience in designing data infrastructure and digitalizing data in other industries is highly valued. You bring a proactive and flexible approach to building solutions and thrive in a collaborative environment where innovation and continuous improvement are key.
