The Team
As our new Senior Transaction Manager, you will join our M&A and Asset Financing team at our Headquarters in Søborg, Copenhagen. The team currently has 22 committed colleagues and one Student Assistant, and we are responsible for managing our divestments as well as the project and asset financing of our assets.
We lead all projects, portfolio divestments, partnerships, and financing transactions, managing them from origination to closing. Additionally, we take the lead on financial modelling, investor management, and negotiations with investors and financing banks. We strive to develop and maintain long-term relationships while promoting competitive processes. Our department is part of the newly established CCO organization, which has a holistic and strategic focus on European Energy’s sales activities.
How you will create an impact
You will take on a senior position responsible for M&A transactions across Europe. You will be part of a deal team assigned to a project and will be responsible for leading negotiations and execution of selective M&A transactions. You will be coordinating the deal team in creating financial models, structuring VDRs, preparing marketing materials, and coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to
- You will play a key role in specific M&A transactions and negotiations for renewable energy projects such as PV or wind parks.
- You will coordinate the deal team assigned to your projects.
- You will be part of discussions of SPA and other transaction documents.
- You will have a close dialogue and relationship with investors.
To thrive in the role we imagine you have the following competencies
- You have 8-10 years of relevant work experience in M&A within renewables or infrastructure.
- You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or similar.
- You are very comfortable negotiating and have a drive to secure the best deals for all parties.
- You have solid skills in financial modelling, Excel, PowerPoint, and VBA, with a willingness to mentor junior colleagues.
- You are fully proficient in English, both oral and written, and professional proficiency in German is a bonus.
- You are willing to travel for work.
As aperson, you are dedicated, curious, and outgoing. You have a drive to execute complex and time-constrained transactions. You are comfortable negotiating M&A transactions and have a genuine interest in the financial market and the green energy transition.
