Student Analyst - Investment Management

The team

The Investment Management team is responsible for CIP’s investments in construction and operations, taking over from the Investment teams after the Final Investment Decision. The team covers all of CIP’s fund strategies and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP, including the Investment teams, Financial Analysis, and Finance. In Investment Management, you will support on managing one or several of CIP’s investments through the project life cycle from late development, construction and into the operations phase. You will also drive commercial optimizations and manage risks throughout the funds’ lifetime, while analyzing and reporting on investment performance to key stakeholders.

The role

As a Student Assistant (Analyst) you will contribute to the construction, operation, and optimization of CIP’s investments globally. You will work closely together with our highly experienced Investment Management team in an international and engaging environment. We will constantly seek to inspire you, while focusing on your learning and personal development. Working with our skilled team members, the right candidate will build a solid commercial and contractual understanding of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. Furthermore, top-performing Analysts may receive an offer to join us as a full-time Associate upon graduation.

Key work areas

  • Visualization and presentation of technical, financial and contractual information to stakeholders
  • Analysis and reporting on investment performance
  • Support with investment optimization initiatives across the global asset portfolio
  • Working together with industrial partners and advisors
  • Ad-hoc analyses in close cooperation with other Investment Management team members

The position is part-time and based in central Copenhagen. The workload will vary depending on the numbers of projects you are working on, and you will be given the opportunity to shape your daily routine and schedule.

You

CIP is looking for 2nd and 3rd year BSc students in Economics, Business, Finance, Engineering, Law or any other relevant field. We are looking for the following candidate:

  • High academic achievement
  • Advanced communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Analytical aptitude and structured and project-oriented approach to work
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality output in time-sensitive setting
  • Interest in investments, corporate finance, strategy, engineering and renewable energy
  • A problem-solving mindset and spirit of inquiry
  • Experience in energy and infrastructure is beneficial, but not a requirement

Please note that we do not offer a remote working opportunity, thus you must be enrolled in a Danish university and reside in Copenhagen to be eligible for this role. Students on exchange in Denmark are not considered eligible for this position.
