JOB DESCRIPTION

Scan Global Logistics is looking for an experienced BI Tech Lead to lead the development of BI solutions and data warehouse strategies. In this role, you will work closely with the BI Architect and a team of developers to design, implement, and optimize data-driven solutions that support business needs. You will be responsible for managing BI projects from planning to execution, ensuring data security and compliance, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Your expertise in SQL Server, data warehousing, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS) will be key in optimizing data processes and enhancing reporting capabilities. You will also provide technical leadership, guiding the BI development team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions.

Your primary tasks and areas of responsibility:

• Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of BI solutions and data warehouse structures.
• Oversee and enhance SQL Server databases and ETL processes to ensure efficient data integration and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the BI development team.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices in BI architecture and reporting.
• Manage BI projects from planning to execution, ensuring high-quality delivery.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate is expected to have an education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, but experience from a similar role is more important.

Furthermore, you are expected to have:

• A minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a BI Tech Lead or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio and database optimization.
• Experience with both on-premises and cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• High-level fluency in written and spoken English (business negotiation level).
• Knowledge of the logistics or freight forwarding industry is a plus.
