The position
We are seeking a Portfolio Vice President for Device Platform Development who will lead the development of an innovative concept of device platform development, that will enable the scalability for high volume production. In this newly created role, you will have an opportunity to outline business strategy for the area and create and implement effective systems structures and processes. You will lead a direct team consisting of several program managers responsible for specific platforms and a senior manager responsible for the process development and project management organisation.
The position is based in Denmark, Greater Copenhagen area. We welcome applications from candidates based in Denmark and those that are willing to relocate.
Key responsibilities
As a Portfolio Vice President for Device Platform Development, you will:
- Develop long- and short-term device platform strategies and plans and oversee their implementation together with your team
- Lead and empower the device platform organisation and Global Project teams (GPTs) representing several Senior Vice President areas.
- Drive effective collaboration and stakeholder management across the value chain
- Establish and implement new structures and processes to enhance platform development both in Devices & Delivery Solutions and across the value chain.
- Manage portfolio risks and resources, ensuring alignment with organisational and corporate goals. Ensuring that the portfolio perspective is always considered in the relevant decision making, is an important part of the role.
- Develop, coach and empower direct team and GPT team members to enhance collaboration and performance.
- Represent the device platform development organisation in various forums including SteerCo.
Qualifications
We are looking for a leader with the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, business administration, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, device development, or portfolio management. Technical expertise is a strong advantage.
- Substantial work experience within the MedTech industry coupled with profound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry value chain.
- Extensive experience in managing complex, cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholder landscapes.
- Proactive and visible leadership style and ability to manage complex portfolio independently.
- Ability to lead and motivate people with different backgrounds, nationalities, and personalities.
- A proactive, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset and ability to drive innovation and change.
- Excellent communication and proactive stakeholder management skills.
