The position
As our Director you will lead the Primary Pack (PrimPack) department which is part of the Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT (PSQIT) organization within CMC Oral Drug Product Development (CMC OPDev).We are making a real difference for patients with chronic diseases around the world, we develop, manufacture, and distribute oral drug candidates for clinical trials and promote a strong “can do” culture.

PrimPack, is part of the newly-established area Oral Pilot Plant, which is responsible for delivering oral drug products for clinical, stability and development studies, in a timely and efficient manner with the utilization of our GMP expertise to bridge development and commercial production in collaboration with our stakeholders. We are characterised by taken responsibility and working together to make a difference to improve the life of our patiens.

Some of the main tasks will be to:

• Deliver tablets to meet demands from clinical, development and stability studies and adapt for future demands
• Secure the strategic development of Primary Pack
• Work close together with stakeholders to develop and influence the future for primary pack of future pipeline
• Investigate future requirements
• Establishing clear roles and responsibilities split across the packaging areas at Novo Nordisk
• Drive managers and teams to perform at highest level - set clear direction and goals
• Ensure activities are executed always to the highest quality in regulatory compliance

You will act as a role model, providing energetic leadership that motivates your team to be their best. They should feel safe, supported, and challenged by you every day. Prioritization and adaptability to changes and new priorities are key to success.

Qualifications
We are looking for a positive and solution-oriented candidate who will ensure and continue the establishment of Primary Pack with strategic and systemic leadership skills and an interest in packaging processes. You have a high level of energy to drive your organisation and engage your colleagues and employees.

To succeed in this role, you:

• Have a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or equivalent
• +5 years of experience as a people leader, preferably leader for leaders
• Have knowledge of packaging processes and manufacturing development
• Are fluent in English & Danish in both written and spoken
• Have years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry and GMP regulated areas

On a personal level, you set direction in an emphatic way, lead and motivate your department to deliver their best and have a desire to influence and impact others beyond your own area. You possess great communication and cooperation skills, as you will be in close dialogue with various stakeholders.

The department
You will lead a department of approximately 55 employees in 4 teams all working with GMP and continuously improvements/cLEAN mindset. The department is focusing on operations, support, new equipment and optimisation and a large part of this role is to develop and build this department, growing it for future demands such as new packaging lines, and broader responsibilities across CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control) and PS (Product Supply).
