The Position
As an Associate Process Scientist, you will:

  • Coordinate cross-departmental tasks on behalf of the department.
  • Support the lab technicians.
  • Optimize processes and implement changes.
  • Handle deviations.
  • Work with Lean and data analysis.

This position is temporary for 1 year.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • An academic degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology, or similar.
  • Experience with HPLC analysis in the laboratory from the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment, as well as QC compliance experience.
  • A quality-conscious mindset with knowledge of regulatory and government requirements.
  • An affinity for data and statistics, with the ability to form an overview of processes. Preferably, knowledge of processing large amounts of data.
  • Experience with cLEAN and working with qualification and/or validation of chemical analysis from a laboratory in the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment.
  • Fluency in English is required, and some knowledge of Danish would be preferred.

On a personal level, you possess a great sense of curiosity, humour, as well as an open and positive mind. You are able to work independently in a structured way whilst still being a strong team player – both within the team and in work relations across the area.

About the Department

In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in Kalundborg, we produce insulin and GLP-1 to help people living with chronic diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilize the opportunities in contemporary technology, while others are more focused on optimizing existing setups.
Insulin Manufacturing 1 in Kalundborg is the world’s largest insulin factory. We produce the active ingredients which are the main component in many of Novo Nordisk’s products, including our new oral product Rybelsys® for which we have high expectations. IM1 is unique as we have the entire production chain gathered under one roof. The QC department in M1 consists of 4 teams and approximately 65 colleagues all in all.
