Be part of the GSCM Management office, where collaboration drives our success. We are a small and tightly knit team of six motivated team members, working directly under Jakob Bøss, Head of GSCM. Each of us has unique responsibilities, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere while engaging in important work. We closely collaborate with GSCM teams and colleagues across 2nd and 3rd line functions, including Group Compliance, Group Risk Management, and Group Internal Audit. We connect with stakeholders at all organisational levels and across business units, working alongside GSCM specialists on cross-functional risk-related projects to promote transformation and ensure alignment with strategic priorities. Your agenda will be crafted collaboratively, yet you will thrive through independently motivated efforts in daily tasks.
About the Role
As a Risk and Compliance Specialist within Group Sustainability, Stakeholder Relations, Communications & Marketing (GSCM) at Danske Bank, you will be essential in identifying, assessing, and managing various risks impacting our organisation’s operations and stability. Beyond risk management, you will manage projects that enhance our risk framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessment: Guide our internal GSCM teams through risk assessment processes, identifying potential risks across financial, operational, compliance, and strategic domains.
- Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks, collaborating with GSCM teams to ensure effective implementation.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed about industry regulations and internal policies, guaranteeing GSCM compliance. Address compliance issues proactively and guide employees on adherence.
- Risk Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management, highlighting key indicators and trends, and communicate complex information clearly.
- Internal Controls: Establish and monitor mechanisms to safeguard assets and prevent fraud, enforcing policies to maintain security and integrity.
- Crisis Management: Maintain the GSCM crisis management plan to address unexpected events that may impact stability.
- Project Management: Oversee risk-related projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while enhancing risk management processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate risk management and business processes, suggesting improvements to enhance GSCM’s risk framework.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, effective stakeholder management, and project management expertise. Understanding of risk management principles and experience in risk management roles.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Solid project management expertise.
- A structured approach to completing tasks and projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- 3-5 years of risk management experience.
