CLOSED - Production Manager, IVD

European Search Company

THE POSITION DO NOT ACCEPT APLICATIONS NO LONGER

Do you combine strategic thinking with a hands-on leadership style? Do you have a track record of leading teams within regulated production like the IVD or medical device industry? And are you ready to take ownership of two production teams and help shape the future of diagnostic production in a purpose-driven company?

Our client, SSI Diagnostica Group, is a clinical diagnostic company with a mission to help prevent, monitor, and diagnose clinical diseases through our quality portfolios of Reagents and IVD Diagnostic products and solutions. We are a carve-out from the Danish Serum Institute, now owned by a private equity fund. Our heritage is as strong as our purpose: to enhance vitality and health in societies around the world.

We are founded on the success of strong organic growth and acquisition of 3 clinical diagnostic companies. We recently signed off a new 5-year strategy for the group embarking on a journey to become one global IVD Diagnostic powerhouse.

Take the Lead in Shaping High-Quality IVD Production
As our new IVD Production Manager, you will be responsible for two production teams at our Danish site in Hillerød. Operating exclusively on a day shift schedule, these teams rely on strong leadership to maintain high standards of quality, efficiency, and compliance. You will take full ownership of their performance, development, and daily operations. This is a key role in our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop your two production teams, including one team lead.
• Ensure production targets are met with a focus on quality, safety, and delivery performance while ensuring well-being.
• Maintain and optimize production processes in compliance with ISO 13485 and other relevant regulatory standards.
• Be a visible and present leader—actively engaging with the teams on the shop floor.
• Collaborate closely with QA, R&D, Technical, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster the development of a culture of improvement.
• Manage staffing, training, and competency development within the teams.
• Act as a role model for safety and compliance within regulated production.

A present and purpose-driven leader with strong roots in life science production
You probably hold a Master’s degree in Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related life science field. You bring several years of leadership experience within IVD, medical device or related life science production and have successfully led teams of team leads and lab technicians in a regulated environment. You are well-versed in ISO 13485 and understand the requirements of working in a GxP-compliant setting.

As a leader, you are present and approachable, someone who naturally leads by example and thrives in the production environment, close to the people and processes. You communicate clearly, build trust within your team, and are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.

Join a purpose-driven company shaping the future of diagnostic production
We offer a key leadership role in a respected and growing company within the IVD space. You will join a collaborative, science-driven environment with skilled and passionate colleagues. At SSI Diagnostica, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of production in a company with a strong legacy and exciting growth ahead. Most importantly, you will be part of a workplace rooted in purpose—we help improve diagnostics that save lives.
