The position
We are excited about our central-services function designed to further enhance business growth, build greater organisational resilience, and enable us to quickly adapt to market demands.
As Director you will cover two areas and report into one Corporate Vice President (CVP) and have a dotted line to the other CVP. Also, you will be heading up a team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals. Your contributions will be critical in linking our local business initiatives with the overall strategic ambition for our area. You will be pivotal in driving the agenda locally together with the CVP ensuring alignment and engagement in the management team. Your commitment will centre around striving for excellence with an unwavering dedication to putting patients’ needs at the forefront of everything we do.

Furthermore, you will strengthen existing synergies between Global Contract Manufacturing Drug Product (GCM DP) and Global Contract Manufacturing Drug Substance (GCM DS) through closely partnering with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities include:
• Serving as a strategic sparring partner to various business support areas, driving efficient processes, ensuring high quality deliverables and linking local initiatives in our areas to the corporate and business unit initiatives
• Managing and coaching professionals to promote a high-performing and collaborative work environment, as well as serving as a role-model
• Coordinating and driving key projects, utilizing an understanding of business processes, systems, and industry requirements
• Formulating and defining operational excellence and continuous improvement objectives in collaboration with leaders and specialists
• Ensuring financial transparency, overview and reporting on monthly basis
• Driving our business cycles and business reviews 3 times per year ensuring we are well prepared and able to discuss and present our business status and outlook in a clear and convincing manner
• Enabling clear communication and timely delivery on business objectives through effective networking and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will:
• Hold a master’s degree in management, business, finance, economics, procurement, or a similar discipline
• Demonstrate applied experience in at least one of the core functions: Data/Digitalisation, Risk Management/Quality, Strategic Business Development/Capability Planning, or Business Support
• Bring strong leadership experience and proven ability to inspire high-performing teams
• Showcase expertise in delivering strategic recommendations to senior executives, successful strategy execution, and proving ability to drive change management
• Display full business proficiency in both spoken and written English.

About the department
SBD is part of two CVP leadership teams, ensuring operational effectiveness across both areas and playing a key role in driving the strategic agenda, enabling business development, setting direction for local initiatives, and is responsible for all back-office processes. Business services include budgets; strategic planning; advanced analytics; risk reporting; compliance and sustainability; and evaluating new technologies to drive digital and data innovations. As our organisation continues to grow, the significance of risk and quality management combined with capability building has never been greater.
