The Position
As a Process Engineer for capacity modelling, you will join a new established team that is motivated by and enjoys working with data, developing advanced models, deploying and applying these models for helping with setting the direction for short and long-term project portfolio generation.
This position offers a great opportunity to play a considerable part in shaping the future of bioprocessing across the organization, in close collaboration with development, manufacturing, and research teams in Novo Nordisk.

Our working days are an exciting mix of processing and analysing behind our desktops and collaborating with stakeholders on shopfloor in our production facilities.
The main tasks will be to:
- Develop, apply and maintain flowsheet models for designing/retrofitting manufacturing facilities.
- Analyse, test and identify optimizations for existing processes in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Present results of data analyses for key stakeholders in our production area and recommend strategic decisions.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- A master’s degree or a PhD in chemical engineering or industrial engineering.
- Preferably, 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Domain knowledge on flowsheet modelling, optimization, unit operations understanding and data analysis.
- Experience with equation/object-oriented programming, for example, MATLAB, python, VBA, etc.
- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken Danish and English.
As a person, you have great stakeholder managements skills, good communication and collaboration skills, and thrive in a knowledge sharing environment. You thrive on the details while keeping a sharp strategic overview—and bring an outgoing, engaging energy to every interaction.
Having a true understanding of how to convey complex information to varying audiences and thereby, explain the purpose to get everyone onboard is crucial in this role. Wit an appetite for solving complex problems by applying a systems approach, which enable us to manage complexity and reach feasible applicable solution is key to succeed in this team.
About the Department
API Manufacturing 4 is part of API. At our sites in Gentofte, Hillerød, and Kalundborg, we are more than 600 colleagues working together to manufacture the API used in life-saving medicine for people living with serious chronic diseases. We work with advanced chemical and biotechnological processes such as cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying. We bring value to our patients by providing the cleanest possible high-quality API made in accordance with Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) while constantly optimizing our processes. You will be part of API, M4 Business Support, where the job is located.
You will be a part of a new established team in M4 consisting of process engineers, supply chain partners and finance partners. Our overall purpose is to support production areas to succeed in the best possible way.
