Sales Support Engineer – Guiding Missions from Vision to Orbit
GomSpace A/S
Do you thrive on solving complex technical challenges and helping customers succeed with mission-critical space systems?
As our new Sales Support Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping successful missions – from the first sales call to in-orbit operations. At GomSpace, we’re looking for someone who combines deep technical expertise with a strong customer focus to support spacecraft teams across North America in getting the most out of our satellite subsystems and software.
This role is about more than answering questions – it’s about becoming a trusted technical advisor. You’ll guide customers through subsystem selection, ensure seamless integration, and support real-time operations in orbit. Whether you're shaping proposals, resolving in-flight anomalies, or delivering hands-on training, your impact will be felt across every phase of a mission.
You’ll work closely with our sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure technical solutions align with customer needs and GomSpace’s product strategy. You’ll also play a key role in gathering product feedback, maintaining accurate records in our CRM, and occasionally representing GomSpace at conferences and industry events.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Sales Support Engineer, you’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, customer engagement, and operational excellence. Your job is to turn technical capability into customer success.
You’ll take on responsibilities such as:
- Advising customers on subsystem selection and software configuration for their mission profiles.
- Supporting proposal development with system architecture insights, product recommendations, and compliance input.
- Delivering technical briefings and product presentations to customers (both virtually and on-site).
- Providing hands-on post-sales support, including integration guidance, troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution.
- Leading customer training sessions, particularly focused on our A3200 Command & Management SDK and supporting tools.
Expect regional travel across North America (approx. 30%) as part of this role.
What We’re Looking For
At GomSpace, we value curiosity, technical depth, communication and collaborative spirit. We're looking for someone who enjoys working directly with customers, thrives on solving real-world problems, and can confidently communicate across technical and commercial audiences.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Aerospace, Electrical, or Systems Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Has 3–7 years of experience in sales engineering, customer support, or systems engineering – ideally in the space or aerospace sector.
- Understands key satellite subsystems such as power, radios, ADCS, and command & control software.
- Familiar with ground systems, satellite mission operations, and RF communications.
- Communicates clearly and professionally – both in writing and in conversation – and can tailor your message to the audience.
Bonus Points If You Also Have…
- Hands-on experience with small satellites or flight operations.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, SDRs, or mission planning tools.
- Experience working on commercial or government satellite programs.
- Familiarity with CubeSat or LEO mission lifecycles.
Why Join Us?
At GomSpace, you’ll be more than just a support engineer – you’ll be an essential part of the team bringing complex missions to life. You’ll work at the forefront of satellite technology, engage directly with innovative space missions, and collaborate with international colleagues who share your passion for space.
We offer:
- A role with visible impact across the mission lifecycle – from sales to orbit
- A dynamic, flexible, and supportive work environment – were people come first
- Opportunities for professional growth and international collaboration
- A flexible and inclusive work environment
