Business Systems Engineer

Synthesia

Synthesia London Full-time

Salary Competitive

Welcome to the video-first world
From your everyday PowerPoint presentations to Hollywood movies, AI will transform the way we create and consume content. Today, people want to watch and listen, not read — both at home and at work. If you’re reading this and nodding, check out our brand video.

Despite the clear preference for video, communication and knowledge sharing in the business environment are still dominated by text, largely because high-quality video production remains complex and challenging to scale—until now…

Meet Synthesia
We're on a mission to make video easy for everyone. Born in an AI lab, our AI video communications platform simplifies the entire video production process, making it easy for everyone, regardless of skill level, to create, collaborate, and share high-quality videos. Whether it's for delivering essential training to employees and customers or marketing products and services, Synthesia enables large organizations to communicate and share knowledge through video quickly and efficiently. We’re trusted by leading brands such as Heineken, Zoom, Xerox, McDonald’s, and more. Read stories from happy customers and what 1,200+ people say on G2.

In 2023, we were one of 7 European companies to reach unicorn status. In February 2024, G2 named us as the fastest-growing company in the world. In 2025 we announced our series D funding. In total we’ve raised over $330M in funding from top-tier investors, including NEA, Atlassian Ventures, WiL, PSP Growth, and existing investors such as Accel, Nvidia, Kleiner Perkins, GV and top founders and operators including Stripe, Datadog, Miro, Webflow, and Facebook.

About the Role
As a Business Systems Engineer at Synthesia, you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimising our revenue operations and systems. Reporting to the Head of Revenue Operations, you will help ensure our Salesforce environment and wider business systems are controlled, scalable, and efficient as we grow.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about process optimisation, automation, and data integrity — and who wants to make a tangible impact in a fast-growing SaaS business.

Key Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration & Systems Support

  • Assist in the day-to-day administration of Salesforce, including user management, security, profiles, and permissions.
  • Maintain data integrity through regular audits, deduplication, and cleansing.
  • Configure objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and reports in Salesforce.
  • Support integration management between Salesforce and other tools in our revenue tech stack (e.g., Hubspot, SalesLoft, Gong).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues to minimise business disruption.

Process Optimisation & Automation

  • Support the Business Systems Lead in consolidating and optimising workflows and automations.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing automation using declarative Salesforce tools (e.g., Flows, Workato).
  • Document business processes and system configurations for future reference.

Change Management & Training

  • Assist with change requests and system enhancements, ensuring thorough testing before deployment.
  • Contribute to training material creation and deliver user training sessions to drive adoption.
  • Collaborate with commercial and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into system improvements.

Skills and Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a Salesforce Administrator or Business Systems Analyst role, ideally in a SaaS or high-growth company.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and CPQ.
  • Familiarity with tools in our tech stack or similar: Hubspot, Outreach, Cognism, Ironclad, Planhat, Workato, ZoomInfo.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Flows and wider automation ecosystem (Flows, iPaaS).
  • Basic proficiency in SQL for data analysis is a plus.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with an automation-first mindset.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a fast-growing SaaS company with exciting career growth opportunities.
  • Work on impactful projects that improve efficiency and scalability across the business.
  • Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team dedicated to continuous improvement.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you’re passionate about business systems, automation, and optimizing operations, we’d love to hear from you!
