Build the future of trading IT at DLG
On behalf of DLG Group, we are looking for a Lead Trading IT. The role is established to strengthen DLG’s Trading IT capabilities and to enable the next stage of business evolution. As your first priority, you will lead a comprehensive IT transformation project focused on designing and delivering the future Trading Core IT Stack.

This will be a core contribution to DLG’s group-wide program ReGen to modernize how the business is run, improving competitiveness and strengthening commercial performance on a global scale.

As Lead Trading IT you will play a pivotal role in a company-wide transformation program—overseeing trade execution and capture systems, data and analytics platforms, and the architectural foundation that enables future trading capabilities. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and steer the overall Trading IT strategy, prioritizing initiatives to balance competing business needs
  • Lead Trading IT across commodity trading specific solutions (e.g., wheat, soy, oil & gas, power) and overarching platforms (e.g. ERP) and act as a strategic sparring partner to key trading leads by translating business objectives into actionable technical requirements
  • Build, lead and develop a team of skilled trading IT professionals
  • Define technology and solution archetypes for the Trading IT north star architecture and make decisions on vendor and solution selection processes
  • Create and maintain technology roadmaps across all relevant software systems, ensuring alignment with functional plans
  • Define foundational data architecture and governance requirements; collaborate with the Data Manager to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility
  • Initiate, plan and manage projects, oversee delivery and coordinate with all internal stakeholders and external implementation partners to ensure solution delivery on time, quality and budget
  • Ensure stable, ongoing operations of the future Trading IT landscape.

KPIs and Success Criteria

  • Enablement of business value in line with the ReGen program (including trade capture solutions)
  • Milestone delivery for ReGen and future programs
  • Establishment of a cross-regional and cross-commodity trading IT function with a clear mandate and governance.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in IT project management in commodity trading solutions and enterprise architecture with multi-years’ experience in a leadership role
  • Deep understanding of trading systems and IT stack integration
  • Proven and up to date understanding of modern data architecture components including Azure cloud platform solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive cross-functional programs with internal and external partners
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and technical decision facilitation
  • A structured, collaborative, and delivery-focused mindset
  • Flexibility to travel to other work locations such as Fredericia, Denmark; Flensburg or Osterrönfeld, Germany.

You will report to the Head of Business Applications and be based in Fredericia, Denmark; Flensburg or Osterrönfeld, Germany.
