Riis retail A/S
Do you dream of working with spatial design at a smaller, more detailed scale, turning brand stories into real spaces for people to meet, eat, shop and connect?
Perhaps you’re a trained building architect working at a traditional architectural studio, but find yourself drawn to interiors, where atmosphere, materiality and experience designed in a human scale.
At RIIS Design Studio, we design spaces for some of the world’s most recognized brands – from retail stores and cafés to hospitality environments and bespoke interiors.
Our team in Kolding consists of 24 architects and designers, working side by side to bring concepts to life, from first sketch to final space.
We’re now looking for a Senior Interior Architect to join our growing studio.
Your role
You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment where design and execution go hand in hand.
Your tasks will include:
- Developing spatial concepts/design
• Translating existing brand concepts into architectural design
• Preparing visual presentations (Rhino / Archicad / 3D at sketch level)

(Applications sent directly via email will not be included in the process).

We hope for a start date in January 2026, but that’s not a requirement.
We offer good employment terms, have social gatherings, a staff association, lunch arrangements, fitness facilities and most importantly: a talented experienced team of lovely colleagues.
We offer
A creative office with room for both initiative, laughter and professional development.
You’ll join a flat, informal structure where we trust each other, value flexibility and give space for life beyond work. Our Kolding studio is your main base, but we support hybrid work and home office days when it fits the project flow.
While we offer flexibility and home office days, we truly value time spent together in the studio — so ideally, you’re based no more than 1.5 hours’ drive from our Kolding headquarters.
• Master’s degree in Architecture
• At least 7 years of experience within architecture
• Strong understanding of materials, spatial flow and detailing
• Curious, creative and self-driven with a natural sense for aesthetics
• Fluent in English - but Danish is a huge plus.
• Interest in learning and exploring new tools — we work primarily in Rhino and Archicad, but you don’t need to be an expert yet.
Your profile
You might have started out in the world of large-scale architecture, but your true passion lies in crafting human-scale environments.
