GomSpace A/S
Are you a proven leader in complex technical programmes with a passion for space and defence?
Join GomSpace and take the lead in driving strategic national and defence programmes that connect cutting-edge space technology with real-world operational impact. You’ll play a key role in delivering sovereign, mission-critical space capabilities that strengthen national security, advance multi-domain operations, and make space solutions accessible and actionable.
Your Role
You’ll work at the intersection of technology, strategy, and delivery, orchestrating complex national and defence programmes across multiple stakeholders, internal teams, and international partners. You will take ownership of programme P&L, ensuring delivery excellence, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction, while shaping GomSpace’s future capabilities and delivery frameworks.
Your tasks include:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex national and defence programmes.
- Orchestrate delivery across internal project leads, technical teams, and partner organizations.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, budgets, and governance frameworks.
- Own the P&L for assigned programmes, ensuring financial control, forecasting accuracy, and profitability.
- Support proposal, capture, and tender phases to ensure smooth transition from opportunity to delivery.
Success and Key Results
In the initial phase, success means:
- Onboarding your first project successfully and taking day-to-day leadership.
- Establishing operational coordination across business units and programme teams.
- Contributing initial lessons learned to improve delivery pipelines and frameworks.
On the longer term, you’ll:
- Achieve >90% customer satisfaction across all programmes.
- Demonstrate consistent cost and schedule predictability within ±10%.
- Institutionalize BU-wide delivery templates, governance, and lessons learned, creating a benchmark for future programmes.
What You Bring
You’re a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives at the nexus of complex technical systems, international partners, and mission-critical delivery. You excel at translating customer needs into executable plans and guiding cross-functional teams to success.
You likely:
- Hold an MSc in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Have 7+ years of experience managing multinational or government-funded programmes in space, aerospace, or critical infrastructure.
- Are confident in leading complex programmes with multiple stakeholders and P&L responsibility.
- Understand technical systems (payloads, platforms, ground segments, operations) and their operational impact.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customer stakeholders.
Who You Are
You’re not just a programme manager — you’re a connector, problem solver, and enabler. You take ownership, drive progress, and thrive in multinational, cross-domain environments.
You bring:
- Helpfulness – you collaborate naturally and create solutions that strengthen both team and mission.
- Open communication – you’re transparent, proactive, and follow through on commitments.
- True leadership – you take ownership, act with integrity, and drive progress independently.
- Structure & clarity – you build, refine, and maintain reliable programme frameworks and governance.
- Situational awareness – you understand defence culture, multi-domain operations, and the complexities of international collaboration.
You’re eligible for (or hold) a national, EU SECRET, or NATO SECRET security clearance and share our commitment to ethics, compliance, and responsible space operations.
