Den Kongelige Samling søger en chef for Museumsfaglig Enhed, der kan lede et stærkt fagligt miljø og realisere ambitiøse projekter i hele landet.
Du bliver leder for en nyetableret enhed, der spænder fra forskning, samling og kuratering til formidling, bibliotek og design. Enheden består af seks afdelingschefer og 30 medarbejdere, og du får hermed en varieret hverdag med mange snitflader og fagligheder.
I tillæg til den daglige ledelse og drift får du en væsentlig rolle i indfrielsen af Den Kongelige Samlings 2030-strategi og i udviklingen og realiseringen af udstillingsprogrammerne. Du bliver en del af direktionen og vil indgå i en dedikeret og samarbejdsorienteret ledergruppe med et stærkt fokus på at skabe gode og transparente processer på tværs af fagligheder og lokationer.
Den Kongelige Samling befinder sig i en spændende periode med organisatoriske forandringer, store udviklingsambitioner og stigende besøgstal. Det stiller høje krav til såvel faglig og tværgående ledelse som kommercielle og formidlingsmæssige kompetencer.
Vi vil gerne høre fra dig, der har:
- dokumenteret ledererfaring, herunder erfaring med forandringsledelse og ledelse af ledere, og gerne en lederuddannelse
- en stærk museumsfaglighed og erfaring med hofstudier og Den Kongelige Samlings genstandsfelt
- forståelse for økonomistyring, planlægning og compliance
- solid organisatorisk tæft og blik for tværgående processer og samarbejde
- en åben og involverende ledelsesstil med fokus på tillid og ejerskab i alle led
- international erfaring og udsyn.

Den Kongelige Samling er en selvejende institution med ca. 300 medarbejdere. Organisationen står bag Amalienborgmuseet, Christiansborg Slot, Eremitageslottet, Koldinghus og Rosenborg Slot samt sommerrundvisningerne på Fredensborg Slot. Head of Research, Exhibitions and Collections at The Royal Danish Collection
Do you want to lead one of Europe’s most significant royal collections during a period of growth and transformation? And do you possess both leadership skills and significant museum expertise?
The Royal Danish Collection is seeking a Head of Research, Exhibitions and Collections Department who can lead a strong professional environment and develop and realise ambitious exhibitions.
You will be the head of a newly established department that spans across research, collections, and curation to museum interpretation, library and design. The department consists of six heads and 30 employees, giving you a varied workday with a broad range of interactions and professional disciplines.
In addition to daily management and operations, you will play a key role in fulfilling The Royal Danish Collection’s 2030 strategy and in developing and implementing exhibition programmes. You will be part of the executive management and join a dedicated and collaborative leadership group with a strong focus on creating good and transparent processes across disciplines and locations.
The Royal Danish Collection is currently in a period of exciting organisational change, major development ambitions and increasing visitor numbers. This calls for both professional and cross-functional leadership as well as commercial and communication skills.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Documented leadership experience, including managing managers and complex change management - preferably with a certified a leadership education
- Strong museum expertise and preferably experience with court studies and The Royal Danish Collection’s field of research
- Understanding of financial management, planning, and compliance
- Solid organisational acumen and an eye for cross-functional processes and collaboration
- An open and inclusive leadership style with a focus on trust and ownership at all levels
- International experience and outlook

The mission is to disseminate the history of the monarchy through exhibitions, events, research, and a unique collection of paintings, furniture, costumes, crowns, crown jewels, and other cultural treasures related to the Danish Royal Family from the reign of Christian IV to present day.
