The Communications Officer will support DCA-NCA Joint Country Programme in Ukraine (JCPUA) to meet the communications needs and targets. Particular focus will be on outreach to beneficiaries, stakeholders, partners and donors through DCA/NCAs external communication channels.
The Communications Officers main tasks are:
1)Field work, including interviewing beneficiaries, conducting field visits, gathering stories, writing success stories, and taking photos during field missions.
Graphic design support for staff and partners,
2) Updating and supporting the JCPUA communication channels (social media and website) in coordination with the Communications Coordinator.
3) Supporting the JCPUA with translation (Ukrainian-English) needs for written material
4) Supporting teams and project development at the JCPUA to ensure that visibility requirements and standards from donors and other stakeholders are met in coordination with the Communications Coordinator.
5) Supporting with video, photo, and text editing in the communications team and across the JCPUA.
The Communications Officer will furthermore be responsible for community management on DCA/NCA communication channels in cooperation with the Communications Coordinator.
Regardless of the content of this job description the employee is expected to participate in any task necessary for the organization delegated by the manager at all times.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Work & Story Gathering:
Conduct field visits, interview beneficiaries, collect human-interest stories, write success stories, and take photos during missions to ensure high-quality content for communication purposes.
- Content Editing:
Support the editing of videos, photos, and written materials, ensuring all content aligns with DCA-NCA branding and donor visibility requirements. - Digital Platform Maintenance:
Help update and maintain JCPUA’s communication channels, including social media and the website, in coordination with the Communications Coordinator - Community Management:
Assist with monitoring and engaging with audiences on social media platforms, ensuring timely and appropriate responses. - Partner Support:
Support the JCPUA partners on communication matters during the project implementation such as, but not limited to: communication content production and visibility material (approval and development). - Visibility Compliance:
Help ensure that donor and stakeholder visibility requirements are met across JCPUA communications, in collaboration with the Communications Coordinator. - Graphic Design:
Creating graphic design and other print material for the JCPUA according to DCA, NCA, and donor standards and requirements.Work related travels are expected in this position.
