PlanBørnefonden is looking for an intern to support our Climate Impact team to execute our Climate Strategy and launch the Climate-Proof Water4Food programme in South Sudan and Ethiopia.

At PlanBørnefonden, we believe that children and young people can lead the way and contribute to creating a more equal and sustainable world that celebrates diversity and respects everyone, regardless of gender. Our Impact and Evidence team strives to generate and capture evidence, facilitate knowledge sharing and maximize our impact by influencing policy and practice.
The internship
PlanBørnefonden is, in cooperation with two Plan International Country Offices (South Sudan and Ethiopia) and the African Development Bank, about to launch Climate-Smart Water4Food (W4F). W4F supports farmers to increase food production and food security through climate-smart practices and stronger value chains, while also expanding inclusive, gender-responsive, and climate-adapted water resource management to ensure reliable access to safe water and sanitation in flood- and drought-affected areas.

You will work closely with the Senior Specialist, the Climate Impact team and may collaborate with others in the Programme Department.

Your tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Support planning and implementation of PlanBørnefonden’s Climate Strategy
  • Participate in proposal development processes, including desk research and drafting

The internship will be placed at our Danish National Office (DNO) in Copenhagen. The duration of the internship is approximately 4-6 months starting January or February 2026.
