Ready to help shape the future of one of the world’s most loved brands? We’re looking for a Supplier Development Manager to join the LEGO Group in Billund.

You’ll play a key role in securing the delivery of moulds and mould parts in a right quality to support the LEGO moulding production.

The External Mould Factory is responsible for managing all external suppliers delivering mould designs, mould parts, and complete moulds to LEGO’s global production sites. It forms an integral part of the wider Mould Supply and Technology organization, ensuring that high-quality moulds are delivered on time to support the LEGO moulding production.

The Supplier Development Manager plays a key role in securing the delivery of moulds and mould parts at the right quality and on schedule. Success in this role requires balancing the responsibilities of being both a LEGO ambassador and a representative for our suppliers, with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. You will develop and implement agreements, processes, and improvement initiatives, monitor deliveries and quality, and ensure compliance with LEGO standards and confidentiality requirements. By sharing knowledge globally, managing complexity, and standardizing processes, you help create effective solutions for stakeholders while navigating a dynamic environment that combines travel, desk work, and tight deadlines.

Core Responsibilities

  • Ensure that injection moulds and mould parts from external suppliers are delivered to LEGO Qualification and Production sites on time and at the required quality, providing on-site or remote technical support and applying structured, data-driven problem-solving methods.
  • Monitor and follow up on supplier performance regarding quality and delivery, driving continuous improvement.
  • Handle claims from internal LEGO stakeholders and extract learnings to support supplier development.
  • Serve as the overall facilitator for escalation meetings during the manufacturing phase, engaging the appropriate stakeholders across the value chain as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between suppliers and LEGO stakeholders for claims, design change requests, and related inquiries.
  • Manage supplier dispensation requests and collaborate with internal stakeholders to define acceptable tolerances.
  • Lead supplier assessments on-site to identify critical gaps and develop actionable plans to enhance supplier processes and performance.
  • Facilitate supplier quality assurance activities, including PFMEA, MSA, capability studies, and other relevant evaluations.

Must-have qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the tooling industry as a toolmaker or in a comparable technical role.
  • Proven experience collaborating with suppliers and customers, with the ability to communicate effectively and constructively challenge at all organizational levels.
  • Strong background in problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and driving process improvements.
  • Experience working in a global organization, demonstrating the ability to share knowledge and best practices effectively in both spoken and written English.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to make sound decisions and deliver results independently when needed.
  • Highly structured and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality, delivery, and execution.
  • Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, capable of translating theory into practical, effective outcomes.

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Experience applying key LEAN methodologies such as process standardization, structured problem solving (PPS, 8D), performance management through KPIs, visual management, and 5S.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma principles and tools for process improvement and variation reduction.
  • Experience conducting or supporting audits and capability assessments.
  • Exposure to sourcing or supplier management activities.
  • Knowledge of polymer and resin materials and their applications in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Teamcenter
