Be a part of an ambitious strategic journey
You will be responsible for the team “Procurement Compliance & Sustainability”. As Senior Manager, you are a leader with a practical approach, guiding a team of skilled and ambitious specialists in commercial law, compliance and sustainability. Together, you will define the strategic direction for responsible and sustainable procurement, establish strong governance frameworks, and ensure sourcing decisions align with legal, compliance, ethical, and ESG principles while driving business value.
Procurement plays a key role in Norlys’ One 2027 strategy, with a strong focus on cost efficiency and business impact. This is your opportunity to lead changes, influence decisions at the highest level, and contribute directly to our strategic goals.
You will collaborate closely with legal, cyber & information security, sustainability, and procurement teams, while engaging suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual and ESG standards. By working with business stakeholders early in the process, you will embed compliance into procurement projects and drive responsible sourcing.
Lead compliance and sustainability across procurement
As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that procurement operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies while reducing exposure to legal, security and commercial risks. The role focuses on establishing robust supplier due diligence processes, embedding compliance and sustainability into sourcing decisions, and promoting awareness of legal, security and ESG standards across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure regulatory and contractual compliance across all procurement processes.
- Mitigate legal, security and commercial risks through early engagement and clear governance.
- Lead supplier due diligence processes and ensure documentation of compliance.
- Promote awareness of legal, security and sustainable procurement standards through guidance and training.
- Collaborate with category teams to embed compliance and sustainability in category and sourcing decisions.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding legal, security and ESG standards and report findings.
- Act as the main contact for compliance and sustainability topics within Procurement.
Commercial mindset combined with pragmatism
We expect you to bring a strong combination of legal expertise, procurement knowledge, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. You thrive in complex environments, can navigate gray areas, and balance compliance risks with commercial priorities. Your ability to accelerate processes while maintaining high standards for compliance, sustainability and governance will be key to success.
Furthermore, we expect:
- Deep knowledge of procurement law, contractual frameworks, and compliance management
- Experience with supplier risk assessments and sustainability requirements (e.g., NIS2, SBTi, EcoVadis)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to guide and influence at senior levels
- Analytical and structured approach to risk mitigation and process governance
- Familiarity with due diligence processes, risk management, ESG reporting, and regulatory trends
- Commercial mindset combined with pragmatism
- Solution-oriented with the ability to accelerate processes.
