Senior Cable Installation Manager

We are seeking a Senior Cable Manager to lead the full lifecycle of subsea cable activities, encompassing specification and procurement, transport and installation (T&I), and all related activities. This is your opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that make a real impact on the planet.

About the Job
In this position, you will be responsible for planning and executing offshore cable transport and installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will develop robust T&I strategies, including risk assessments and interface management, and act as the key link between engineering, procurement, and installation teams. Managing contractors and suppliers will be a critical part of your role, ensuring compliance with project requirements, HSE regulations, and contractual obligations.

Beyond that, you will:

• Leading the development of cable T&I strategies, including risk assessments, installation methodologies, and interface management.
• Managing contractors and suppliers throughout tendering, detailed engineering, and offshore execution phases.
• Overseeing marine operations such as cable loading, laying, pull-ins, burial, and protection activities.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, certification standards, and HSE procedures.
• Providing technical expertise during offshore operations and resolving installation-related challenges.
• Driving continuous improvement by capturing and applying lessons learned across projects

About you
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marine Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Your background includes extensive experience in offshore cable installation and subsea construction, ideally within offshore wind or oil & gas. You have a deep understanding of cable lay operations, installation vessels, burial techniques, and subsea cable protection methods.

Additionally, you bring:

• Proven project management skills and experience overseeing contractors.
• Familiarity with international offshore installation standards (DNV, IEC, ISO) and HSE regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work offshore when required.
• GWO or equivalent offshore safety certifications (advantageous).
