Our internal team consists of talented people who are passionate about challenging the status quo and creating magical guest experiences. Do you want to embark with us on our mission to become the leading platform within hospitality?

The Superb Opportunity

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join our small but powerful engineering team and take a key role in shaping how data becomes insight — not just internally, but for restaurateurs who rely on Superb to run and grow their business.

This role sits at the intersection of product thinking and engineering discipline. You will design and maintain the data models, pipelines, and analytics foundations that power our product, guide decision-making, and unlock new opportunities across Superb. You’ll turn raw, real-world data into clean, trusted, well-structured layers that scale — enabling seamless analysis, meaningful dashboards, and intuitive data experiences for both our team and our customers. If the idea of building reliable, thoughtful data foundations that empower thousands of hospitality businesses excites you, this is your seat at the table.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain clean, reliable, and scalable analytics models that power internal dashboards and product features
  • Design and evolve our data pipelines, transformations, and modelling standards (e.g., dbt, SQL, warehouse architecture), ensuring they scale with our platform and customer base
  • Work across our modern data stack, including Airflow, AWS Glue Lake Formation, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift, MongoDB and MySQL
  • Create and manage well-structured data models that transform raw data into high-quality, trustworthy assets with clear documentation, and observability baked in.
  • Develop production-ready pipelines and backend data services using Python and SQL ensuring our data flows are efficient, maintainable, and a joy to work with.
  • Lead and contribute to a modern data stack, refining tooling, workflows, and best practices to support fast, high-quality analytics work.
  • Turn raw data into actionable insights, and step into exploratory analyses when needed to unblock product direction or identify new opportunities

What you’ll need

  • Solid experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics-engineering, or a similarly technical role.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience designing maintainable, performant data models
  • Proficiency in Python for building pipelines, transformations, and statistical analyses
  • Experience working with orchestration and cloud data tooling such as Airflow
  • AWS, Glue Lake Formation, AWS Athena, AWS Redshift and familiarity with operational databases like MongoDB and MySQL
  • Ability to write clean, testable, maintainable code and drive engineering best practices within the analytics domain
  • A knack for data wrangling—cleaning, structuring, and validating complex datasets across multiple source
  • Curiosity and independence in breaking down ambiguous problems using analytical reasoning and critical thinking
  • Ability to design and build data processing, storage, and activation systems end-to-end

You'll stand out if you:

  • Have a strong understanding of descriptive analytics, basic statistics, and data visualization principles
  • Awareness of machine learning concepts and predictive modelling techniques (hands-on experience is a plus, not a requirement)
  • Have Tech Lead experience (or similar)
  • Are passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences and continuously improving mobile application architecture

Working at Superb

  • Learning and sharing environment
  • Diverse and international team with a strong mission
  • Work from our cozy hub in Copenhagen or from home if you are remote (for simplicity we prefer if you live in Europe or +/- 2 hours)
  • Freedom, flexibility and ability to make real impact
