Test Automation Engineer

Banking Circle

Do you get a quiet thrill from seeing a clean test run? Do you enjoy building tools that make lives easier and systems more reliable? Do you naturally notice the tiny things that others overlook? And are you eager to expand your knowledge in test and automation? If this sounds like you, you may be the Test Automation Engineer we’re looking for.

Banking Circle is a fintech, bank, and fun all in one. We are on a journey to become payment pioneers. Every day more than one million payments run through our platform. We work closely with central banks and clients worldwide to constantly improve our payment flows. Banking Circle was founded in 2013, and today we are a fully licensed bank with 800 colleagues in 11 countries. We are still growing rapidly, and we invite you to join us and experience a fun and international workplace, where people prefer to come to the office rather than work from home.

Your team welcomes you with open arms
As our new Test Automation Engineer in Copenhagen, you’ll experience an open and knowledge driven culture, where everyone can thrive, connect with colleagues, learn and grow. Here you will be empowered to make an impact every day.

In this role you’ll help develop, improve and maintain our internal test tools (C#, ASP.NET, PowerShell) and automated test frameworks (MSTest, STF, WebDriver). You’ll also support the execution of existing test suites, create new ones, and collaborate closely with other teams to improve quality across the organisation.

There is a lot to learn, and we expect you to spend the first 6–9 months absorbing tools, processes, and systems. You will be making mistakes, being corrected, being frustrated - but don’t worry, as a team we will get you there. All you need to do is learn, absorb, improve and trust the team. Before you know it, you will have become an important contributor to team goals.

Exciting work is waiting for you

  • Work closely with engineering and business teams with a testing-first mindset
  • Build and improve automated tests using C#, MSTest and STF
  • Enhance existing in-house tools based on team needs and user feedback
  • Execute, analyse, and optimise test suites
  • Contribute to the design and development of new test tooling
  • Learn from a team with deep experience (+40 years for some) - and share what you learn in return
  • Working with key stakeholders to ensure Product Releases, Internal Processes and Payment Landscape changes to ensure high standards are maintained
  • Using Data to shape and drive the team forward with continuous improvement
  • Drive delivery of client self-service and automation initiatives on behalf of Client Services

Things we’ll look for on your resume
We expect you to have a couple of years of experience from a similar role, but we’re not looking for someone with a flawless CV or specific degree. We're particularly interested in candidates who have a strong grasp of testing fundamentals and a genuine passion for the field.

We also expect you to take ownership, and finish what you start. You’re open-minded, curious, and willing to learn, and you trust the process, even when it takes time.

You are detail-oriented and meticulous, and you are a great team-player who communicates clearly and concisely.

Coding experience (ideally C#) and experience in building tools is required.

Banking Circle is an international company. Our internal workforce consists of over 50 nationalities, and our clients and partners are located all over the globe. Therefore, our company language is English.

Go ahead and take the first step
We look forward to hearing from you. We review applications and interview candidates continuously. Please note that we don’t accept or consider CVs received through email or direct messages.
