Onboard Supply Chain Manager
This is a fantastic opportunity to join SAS, where you will play a key role in shaping the onboard experience for our customers. The role is flexible in terms of location and can be based anywhere within Scandinavia.

As an Onboard Supply Chain Manager, you will take a central role in securing smooth deliveries of food, beverages and materials across Scandinavia. You will work across the full scope of the supply chain. From strategic planning and process optimization to day-to-day operational management of suppliers and inventory.

Challenges you will work on
You will have the opportunity to work with all onboard products and the full range of logistics and processes behind them. In this central role within the Onboard team, you will be the one ensuring that once a product decision is made, the entire supply chain, from supplier to catering station runs smoothly and reliably. You will thrive in a dynamic environment where cost optimization, operational excellence, and sustainability are key, and where your work directly contributes to the operational and commercial success of the onboard experience. Some duty travel will be required as part of the role.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage our 4PL and 3PL providers.
  • Continuously optimize the entire onboard supply chain in close collaboration with suppliers.
  • Secure accurate forecasting and steer supplier performance.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication regarding products and product decisions.
  • Keep waste to an absolute minimum through proactive planning and follow-up.
  • Participate in supplier negotiations and improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a key enabler and problem-solver within the team and across the supply chain

The team
You will join a dedicated Onboard team of 15 colleagues and report to the Head of Onboard Products and Operational Excellence. The team brings together expertise in food & beverage development, operations, aircraft interiors, quality assurance, and data analysis. To be successful, we believe you have

  • Several years of experience with complex supply chain solutions, preferably in an international environment, including 4PL/3PL management
  • We consider it a plus if you have experience within FMCG, given the fast-moving, high-volume nature of our product flows
  • Strong understanding of supplier management, KPIs, and inventory control
  • Analytical mindset with experience in improvement projects and strategic initiatives
  • Excellent Excel skills and strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Ability to work independently and drive projects in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Energy, structure, and a solution-oriented approach, you get things done!
  • A genuine interest in food, beverages, and the onboard experience
