Maternity Cover - Head of Product, Frontline Worker Product Management

About the role
We’re seeking an experienced product leader to cover a 12-month maternity leave for our Head of Product. This is a pivotal role within an incubation-style vertical focused on delivering innovative audio and collaboration solutions for frontline workers.

You will become a key member of GN’s Product Management team and the FLW leadership, playing a crucial role in the development of the Frontline Worker and BlueParrott product lines through effective product leadership and overseeing the roadmap. You will work closely with business management, sales, and R&D to shape the strategy.

How you'll contribute

• Manage a small team of product managers, ensuring day-to-day leadership, mentoring/coaching.
• Execute the newly defined roadmap, strategy, and workstreams.
• Dedicate effort to understanding our users’ & customers’ pains/needs, ecosystem, and market opportunities as well as our competition.
• Translate insights and trends into desirable, innovative, and differentiated experiences for our next generation of products.
• Manage large and complex New Product Development programs together with R&D.
• Take the initiative to guide strategic projects and assess new business opportunities.
• Engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels within GN and with external partners.
• Closely collaborate with various functions within Global Marketing, R&D, Business Management, Support, Operations, etc.
• Define and role model way-of-working, incl. working within the required product development processes.
• Accountability for the experiences and costs in the product and the business case. Presenting and selling, product outcome and recommendation to senior management, including the CEO.

What we think you'll need to thrive in the role

• Experienced product management leader with relevant experience in Consumer Electronics, Mobile, or closely related fields.
• Experienced people manager — able to guide, motivate and stabilize a small product team during transition.
• Rapid on-ramp capability: able to understand complex product and business context quickly and make sound decisions.
• Robust technical and business knowledge with direct involvement in product development initiatives.
• Proficient in engaging with stakeholders while thriving in a complex, global organization.
• Strategic thinker who can formulate and sell high-level direction and translate it to actionable plans.
• Data-informed mindset: comfortable across qualitative and quantitative inputs.
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal); proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Application software skills — experience with cloud, mobile, and AI-enabled applications and platforms.

As a person, you're self-organized and results-oriented - able to push through to product launch. You approach tasks in an organized and practical manner, prepared to take charge of execution when necessary. And due to your collaborative, diplomatic, and inclusive nature, you know when to stand firm and when to adapt or align.

Location and Travel

You will be based in our HQ in Ballerup (Copenhagen), reporting to the VP of Product & Portfolio, Headset Business Unit.

Travel activity of up to 30 days per year is to be expected.
