As Purchasing & Logistics Manager, you’ll play a vital role in helping us deliver efficient and reliable solutions, contributing to TORM’s success in the global shipping industry.
Your Role: Make an Impact:
In this role, you will be part of our Purchase & Logistics team spread across Manila, Mumbai, London, Houston and Copenhagen. You will collaborate with peers across continents servicing our global fleet of product tanker vessels, working especially close with our seafarers and vessel management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders based on vessel requirements, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Coordinate freight forwarding and logistics to guarantee smooth, on-time shipment to vessels worldwide.
- Use approved catalogues and frame agreements to optimize cost and compliance.
- Plan and prioritize effectively, managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Educate crew and office staff on supply chain processes and best practices.
Your Profile
We’re looking for a Purchasing & Logistics professional who thrives in a global, collaborative environment and can bring technical expertise to the team. Someone who has an excellent track record of accomplishments in the purchasing department, a knack and enjoyment for the operational part of the job, and an equal competence and flair for logistics and forwarding.
To succeed in this role, you bring
- At least five years of experience within shipping purchase and logistics.
- Financial understanding to assess the total cost of dealing with a supplier, including price and factors such as the costs of delivery, administration quality control and inventory.
- Willingness to conduct business travel as and when required.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate clearly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships with supply partners and just as importantly internal stakeholders across business units and continents.
