Join us as our new Lab Operations Specialist for our connected laboratories

We are looking for a Lab Operations Specialist to join our team and ensure seamless, secure integration between laboratory instruments and our data science platform.

This role is critical for enabling researchers to work efficiently while maintaining compliance and security standards.

The specialist will primarily focus on the operations, maintenance, and conti-nued design and development of our lab connectivity, as well as supporting

laboratory users and managing secure network configurations for connected instruments. In addition, the specialist will collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) and other technical teams to assist with infrastructure

reliability tasks when needed.

Welcome to Scientific Data Strategy and Systems
Our team provides the core platform and infrastructure for data storage, analysis, and data science activities in Research and Development (R&D). You will join a strong group of internal developers and engineers. We support core research processes and are responsible for many specialized IT systems. Your daily work will be in close collaboration with our internal teams and users. You will work in a diverse team of highly skilled people with competences across IT and biology.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Accelerating science by connecting lab instruments to our Data Science Platform
• Developing our platform for connected laboratories
• Supporting our scientists in their daily work
  

Potentially relevant experience:

• A degree in IT, Engineering, Life Sciences, or equivalent experience
• Experience with IT in laboratory environments and basic understanding of scientific workflows
• Hands-on experience with network configuration (VLANs)
• Familiarity with Powershell
• Familiarity with Linux systems and basic scripting (Python, Bash)
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Nagios
• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Fluency in spoken and written English

The person we are looking for has an open mindset to systems and services and can comprehend complex problems, driving strong solutions for the benefit of R&D in Novonesis globally. Some travel can be expected.
