Join us as our new MLOps Specialist

We are looking for an MLOps Platform Engineer to join our R&D Data Science Platform team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining a common platform for machine learning model lifecycle management. Your work will enable our scientists to better leverage machine learning for designing better enzymes and microbial cultures that deliver exceptional value to our customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement scalable MLOps solutions for ML model lifecycle management
• Integrate ML workflow capabilities into our Data Science Platform to streamline collaborative ways of working.
• Ensure reproducibility, monitoring and traceability of ML experiments and models
• Monitor and maintain ML infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security

Welcome to Scientific Data Strategy and Systems
Our team provides the core platform and infrastructure for data storage, analysis, and data science activities in Research and Development (R&D). You will join a strong group of internal developers and engineers. We support core research processes and are responsible for many specialized IT systems. Your daily work will be in close collaboration with our internal teams and users. You will work in a diverse team of highly skilled people with competences across IT and biology.

In this role you’ll make an impact by

• Enabling cutting edge science by providing streamlined model infrastructure
• Helping scale an already thriving community of data scientists
• Helping build scalable infrastructure for a global scientific audience

Potentially relevant experience

• A degree in IT, computer science or equivalent experience with delivering data science infrastructure
• Proven experience in traditional MLOps, including model deployment and lifecycle management (e.g. using MLflow, Kubeflow, DVC)
• Hands-on experience with development and operations of PaaS solutions in Linux environment and using open-source tooling (e.g. git and GitLab CI/CD)
• Strong proficiency in Python (likely knowledge of scikit-learn, tensorflow, PyTorch)
• Comfortable with infrastructure orchestration frameworks (e.g Ansible) as well as working from Linux command line interfaces
• Experiences with in LLMOps and vector stores (e.g. pgvector, faiss)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Fluency in spoken and written English

The person we are looking for has an open mindset to systems and services and can comprehend complex problems, driving strong solutions for the benefit of R&D in Novonesis globally. Some travel can be expected.
