Hi, I’m Simon, co-founder at VAEV. We’re building a platform that lets companies create real business applications. Not by dragging boxes around or filling out endless forms, but by describing what they need in natural language and letting VAEV help build it.

Behind the scenes, this requires an extremely well-designed engineering system: A rock-solid runtime, a flexible data model, secure tenant isolation, a scalable build/deploy engine, and a magical user experience powered by AI.

We’re building our Engineering Team and looking for exceptional engineers who want to shape the core platform that thousands of users will rely on.

What you will do
🧱 Build the core platform

• Design, build, and maintain core services that power VAEV
• Work on our multi-tenant architecture, container orchestration, deployments and automation
• Develop APIs, backend logic, and internal tools that our customers never see, but depend on every day

✨ Push the boundaries of AI-assisted development

• Work closely with state-of-the-art models from major vendors and our own tailored models to improve developer workflows
• Enable non-engineers to build and automate things they were never able to before
• Explore how AI can transform application development from scratch

🧩 Own complex technical domains
Depending on your strengths, you might lead work within:

• Backend & distributed systems
• Container platforms (K8, Docker, orchestration pipelines)
• DevTools
• Performance, security, observability, and platform reliability
• Data modeling + runtime execution
• Frontend developer experience in Next.js 15 + tRPC

Your background
You might come from:

• Software engineering roles (startup or product company)
• Work on developer tools, SaaS platforms, or distributed systems
• Full-stack engineering with deep backend experience
• Experience building internal tools, runtimes, or infrastructure

We expect that you:

• Are strong in TypeScript, Node.js, React/Next.js or similar
• Understand (or want to learn) modern backend architecture
• Think in systems: data, flows, interfaces, ownership
• Are comfortable shipping production code independently
• Care about developer experience, quality, and clarity
• Thrive in a fast, low-bureaucracy environment

Experience with containerization and AI toolchains is a plus, but not required.
