The opportunity
We are looking to hire two group managers for the project management team in the Operations organization, to lead the project management teams in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. As PM manager for one of the PM teams you will be responsible for the project portfolio driven by the PMs in your team. You will be first point of contact to the team and report directly to the operations manager. You will be a part of the operations management team, developing and improving the performance of the operations team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve success for the project portfolio. You will create and foster a positive and creative work environment in your team and develop personal and professional skills for your team members. There is more than one way to approach this role, but we are looking for strong team builders, stake holder managers and people managers. Depending on your background, we will provide training and support to help you grow and develop into this role.
How you'll make an impact
- Collaborate with other departments to manage and improve the project performance, with the company’s interest first in line.
- Provide insights, develop, and manage team priorities to ensure performance and quality goals are met throughout all project phases.
- Make sure that our KPIs are monitored and improved
- Make sure that our PM processes are followed.
- Ensure processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences, supporting business strategy and defining specific processes and tools.
- Set goals and objectives for team members to achieve operational results.
- Ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.
- Develop the team and build the capacity required by the strategic plan.
Your background
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
- It is an advantage with energy sector experience.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken is a must have. Depending on the country you are applying, you are expected to speak the local language.
- Willingness to work in one of our Hitachi Energy offices in Sweden (Västerås), Denmark (Ballerup or Middelfart) or Finland (Vaasa).
- Good with people. Excellent collaboration skills.
