About the role
Ensure the proper evaluation and approval of GFSI auditors’ qualifications, in compliance with Standard Owners (SO) requirements and internal objectives, guaranteeing efficient and timely processes. Provide operational support in qualification maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Competence Assessment: Review CVs and supporting documentation for new GFSI auditors and manage requests for qualification extensions to additional schemes or categories.
- Approval Coordination: Liaise with auditors’ managers in Local Units and with Standard Owners, acting as a key point of contact to ensure approvals are completed within KPI-defined timelines.
- Requalification Management: Support requalification processes in case of standard updates, ensuring correct application of procedures.
- Operational Support for Qualification Maintenance: Provide necessary operational assistance in processes related to maintaining auditors’ qualifications.
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with GFSI rules and internal policies.
Requirements
Education:
- Degree in technical, scientific, or management disciplines (preferred).
Experience:
- Experience in GFSI food certification, auditing, or competence management (Feed and Aqua schemes knowledge are a plus)
- Familiarity with qualification and requalification processes of the main Food GFSI schemes.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of GFSI standards and related regulations.
- Ability to analyze documentation and assess competencies.
- Proficiency in IT tools (Excel, databases, competence management platforms).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with international stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple deadlines.
- Problem-solving and proactive approach.
Languages:
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
