The Team
You’ll be part of the broader Data & Analytics team, combined of Data, Platform, AI, and Software Engineers. We are responsible for building Novo Holdings’ entire data landscape and tailored software and AI products to provide our organisation with a differentiated view across sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management - as well as the single, trusted entry point to all of Novo Holdings’ digital capabilities. Unify our internally developed AI capabilities, reporting solutions, external vendor systems, and data sources into one governed, high-performance platform.

About the role
We are seeking an additional AI & Software Engineer to further expand our team. You will join our product team that is building a market intelligence platform, aiming to transform how our investment teams make decisions. As part of our close-knit, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll create systems that matter and convert unstructured information into actionable insights. It is a hands-on role that blends technical depth with stakeholder collaboration and delivery ownership.

The Job
Your key responsibilities are:

• Expand our existing product portfolio of AI enhanced applications and tools

• Shape architectural decisions that balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s growth

• Take part in the functional responsibility for ideation, development, operations, and maintenance of tools and applications

• Bridge the gap between existing and new technologies

• Support the development of a New Tech Strategy

• Collaborate with the different lines of business across our global offices to uncover potential processes and use-cases

Professional Qualifications
We expect that you have 7+ years of experience in the field of Software Engineering, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence, with a MSc or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar. We imagine that you have driven a similar effort in another organisation and are well equipped in productionising applications and understanding the benefits and limitations of New Technologies, e.g., Generative AI in multi-stage workflows. Experience from an international environment, or private and financial organisations is not a must but a plus.

In addition, you are comfortable and familiar with:

• Building on and maintaining production codebases in a mono-repo architecture

• Designing fault-tolerant data ingestion and processing pipelines

• Azure cloud ecosystem

• Linux (Ubuntu) as the primary development environment

• Terraform for CI/CD and IaC provisioning

• Python for the backend, Nuxt.js and Tailwind for the frontend

• Containerised backend services using Docker

• Hands-on experience building and integrating generative AI solutions using both managed services (e.g. OpenAI, Google AI) and open-source models (e.g. Hugging Face)
