You will join our Corporate Development team
You will become part of the Corporate Development team, which includes Group Strategy, Group M&A and Post-Merger Integration (PMI), and Business Transformation. As our new M&A Manager you will work in an international team diverse in age, gender, educational background, and professional experience. The Group M&A team is responsible for ensuring strategic fit, proper processes, and quality in all our acquisitions – in close collaboration with the business managers. Together with the Group Strategy, Business Transformation, and Group PMI, the M&A team is responsible for key strategic priorities. The role reports to the Group Director, M&A.
When joining us, you will be:
- Developing and driving the M&A agenda with the team and senior stakeholders
- Contributing to delivering high-quality M&A execution globally
- Serving as project manager for our global M&A projects, working with a wide range of stakeholder groups from business areas to C-level
- Operating at the core of Ramboll’s strategy, M&A, PMI and business transformation offering a unique vantage point on our journey to close the gap for a sustainable future
Key responsibilities in the role:
As (Senior) M&A Manager, Ramboll Group, you will help execute Ramboll’s ambitious M&A strategy, including:
- Driving the execution of the M&A strategy and execution of all global transactions from screening to closing (M&A, JV, divestments) with the team, including e.g.:
- Valuation and analysis: applying methods like DCF; financial modeling with building and interpreting complex models for deal scenarios; understanding financial statements, adjustments, and implications of different accounting treatments.
- Industry analysis, deal rationale analysis (synergies, growth opportunities, risks), scenario planning.
- Orchestrate and quality-assure the due diligence with internal and external advisors.
- Structure transactions together with legal and tax teams.
- Project management for the whole lifecycle of the transaction until closing, including internal and external stakeholder management. This includes close collaboration with support functions and business leaders.
- Development of internal decision decoments and recommendations for excutive approvals.

- Proven experience with M&A with at least 4 years’ experience from consulting, private equity, investment banking, transaction services, or a corporate M&A team
- A master’s degree in finance, business, or other relevant field.
- Strong skills in valuations, financial analysis, and M&A due diligence.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, including ability to prepare C-level presentations.
- Experience in managing projects, preferably in multi-functional teams in M&A projects.
- It is a plus if you have experience in sell/buyer side transaction negotiations and experience in transaction agreements
