Product owner - Clearing and Settlement Securities Trading

This position is based at our friendly office in Herning or Roskilde and you will join our Product Team - Markets & Post Trade.

The team is in charge of products and product roadmaps for the complete securities trading lifecycle, custody administration, as well as efficient clearing and settlement operations.

Furthermore, the team handles corporate actions, oversees capital markets trading and provides robust risk management as well as regulatory and transactional reporting products.

The role of Product Owner for Clearing & Settlement presents a chance to join an exciting initiative aimed at harmonizing post-trade processes with international standards. This involves clarifying business requirements for systems and procedures to ensure efficiency for BEC member banks in the future.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Lasse Nørgaard.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

• Drive business requirements for specific development areas together with the lead PO for post trade harmonization initiative
• Document, refine business requirements in features and socialize these with development teams
• Secure end-to-end process flows are efficient for banks
• Prioritize development backlog for a development team
• Plan and participate in implementation activities towards banks
• After initiative is completed - develop and maintain product strategy and road map for the clearing & settlement area in the future based on market insight.

To succeed you will have:

• A natural drive to clarify business requirements based on product mindset and translate them into development
• Strong ability to listen and facilitate business input from BEC member banks
• Ability to thrive in an initiative with fixed deadlines and where priorities may change
• Experience within part of the Markets & Post Trade area
• Analytical and data driven skills and a desire to learn and grow into a role with focus on product strategy and product road maps
• Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken)
• Understanding of agile development, including use of Jira

• Understanding of the Danish or European sector participants and infrastructure
