Core Responsibilities

  • Industrial Manufacturing Setup: Drive the design, development and implementation of a robust and highly efficient manufacturing setup that meets operational needs and enables global scaling.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, Platform Owners, production sites and suppliers to provide technical insights and solutions, review machine performance, requirements and process documentation, and support the Acceptance Test processes (FAT/SAT/GAT) as part of production ramp-up activities.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Engage and take lead in systematic root cause investigations to identify and analyze the manufacturing process issues or failures and engage in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Documentation & Implementation: Develop and maintain documentation around machine specifications and standardized processes, ensure easy access for knowledge sharing and support in facilitating the handover of machines and respective processes.
  • Systematic Process Improvements: Drive structured experimental work (e.g. DoE) to investigate and enhance reliability and operational efficiency of AM technologies and processes, as well as in strengthening the technical development process through the evaluation and integration of proven industry tools into standard practices within our ways of working.
  • Capabilities Building: Contribute to building capabilities within the LEGO Group to develop and enhance Additive Manufacturing skills, knowledge and expertise to expand our Additive Manufacturing program and meet organizational goals.

Additive Design & Manufacturing (AD&M) is developing and maturing Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies in the LEGO Group. The department is focusing on the research and development of design methodologies and technologies, production technologies, materials and applications. The department is focusing on metal and polymer AM production for different applications in close collaboration with different partners. The aim is pushing and driving the AM industry and its technologies towards true large-scale manufacturing.

You will join our AD&M Technology Maturing & Analytics team, which is taking promising AM technologies and processes and advancing them to a stage of high maturity and readiness for industrial implementation. The work includes optimizing and fine-tuning the technologies, conducting extensive testing and validation, and addressing any remaining technical challenges or limitations. You will collaborate closely with multi-functional teams, including engineers, data scientists, material experts and manufacturing technicians, to refine the processes, improve material properties, enhance system performance, and ensure reliability and repeatability. Further, you will also contribute to documentation, quality control procedures, and knowledge transfer to facilitate the successful integration of AM technologies and processes into an industrial production environment.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field of standardization and workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, understand and illustrate data
  • Problem-solving skills to solve technical issues, identify root causes of problems and propose effective solutions
  • Ability to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • A great teammate that strives to succeed in an ever-changing and challenging environment
  • Organized and structured, independent, dedicated and proactive attitude
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in English both verbally and written
