Laboratory Technician
About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician within the Quality Department you will perform mechanical testing and inspection of incoming raw materials, production control of semi-finished products, and laboratory work with chemicals, all in accordance with company quality systems and guidelines. You will carry out the testing and validating of products and interacting with stakeholders within the company. Your existing working knowledge of laboratory testing within manufacturing as well as mechanical/physical testing of materials will prove to be beneficial to your success in this role.
This position follows a 12-hour shift schedule, working four consecutive days, followed by 6-7 days off, offering a structured work-life balance.
You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and approve raw materials and semi-finished products to meet company standards.
- Conduct mechanical and physical testing to validate production quality.
- Optimize laboratory procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Calibrate measuring equipment and support quality assurance processes.
- Analyze test data and prepare reports on material performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and resolve quality issues.
- Identify and implement improvements in testing procedures and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and safety regulations.
- Flexibility for occasional travel when required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in laboratory testing within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical/physical material testing.
- Ability to analyze and interpret test results accurately.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies.
