THESIS: Fucose-containing sulfated polysaccharides (Low Molecular Fucoidan) from brown seaweed: Extraction technology and bioactivity assessment.
  • Work independently and with CRO teams as a guest scientist at Kitasato Hospital, Japan to conduct in vitro and in vivo study in cancer cell lines for Low Molecular Fucoidan with pharmaceutical activities resulting to 2 published papers in medical journals.
  • Transferred knowledge about processes of the production of the bioactive compound, biochemistry and performed analytical techniques, e.g. HPLC, ELISA, Flow cytometry (FACS) & apoptosis assays.

  • Supported the product development by planning and reviewing analytical test methods, and experiments with proper coordination of strategy across commercial development teams to provide up-to-date results and regulatory documentation.
  • Coordinated the outsourcing of contract laboratories, CMOs and CROs to assist our analytical needs for small molecules structural analysis using LC-MS and NMR and amino acid composition analysis.
    • • Assisted scientists on RP-HPLC method development by DOE using response surface modeling resulted in optimized separation and composition analysis of complex substrates.
