This Diploma Supplement model was developed by the European Commission, Council af Europe and UNESCO/CEPES. 4.2 Programme requirements: The intended learning outcome for an AP Graduate in Automation Engineering includes the following:

Concepts, theory and methods within automation Electrical installation on machinery
Technology and current rules concerning the design of operator inter faces for automatic installations Configuration and programming of automatic installations
Network technology and protocols for communication at different levels in an automatic facility Essential concepts and methods for innovation, problem-solving and development
Business process management and rules and regulations Skills:
The graduate has acquired the skills needed to:
Use a variety of technical, creative and analytical skills related to development, design, dimensioning, programming, configuration and start-up of controlling facilities within automation
Evaluate practice-oriented issues and find solutions within mechanics, electronics and controlling Programme operator inter-faces
Configure various kinds of industrial communication Handle and manage innovative working processes
Evaluate market trends, perform needs assessment and identify customer needs
Establish bases for decisions which include operational, financial, environmental, health and safety and legal aspects
Competencies
The graduate has acquired the competencies needed to:
Handle project development in automation, regulation and controlling. Structure, quality-assure and document solutions according to current rules and norms
Participate professionally in cooperation within their own field and across disciplines Continuously acquire new knowledge in relation to control and regulation

5. INFORMATION ON THE FUNCTION OF THE QUALIFICATION
5.1 Access to further study: This AP qualification gives access to the professional bachelor study in Produet Development and lntegrative Technology, also provided by KEA. It further gives access to a number of B.Sc studies in engineering.
5.2 Professional status: The AP Degree Programme in Automation Engineering qualifies the graduate to work with industrial automation within the fields of production, machine building, regulation and process control which includes assignments within design, commission, test and debugging.

6.1 Additional information: The mission of Copenhagen School of Design and Technology is to develop and offer practice-oriented first and short cycle programmes in cooperation with local, national and international businesses and Danish educational institutions. Copenhagen School of Design and Technology also manages a Research & Innovation Centre for the benefit of public and private businesses.
