Senior RF/Antenna Designer

GN ReSound A/S

Development and verification of ultra-compact radio systems for hearing aids. Such as 2.4 GHz-, magnetic-induction- and tele-coil-systems.
Ansys HFSS was used to simulate key performance parameter of the 2,4 GHz system. Interference in the low frequency systems was simulated using Ansys Maxwell. Advanced Design System (Keysight) and Ansys Design was used to perform radio system simulations. Co-simulations was performed using Python scripts for complete hardware system simulation optimizing performance, solving noise and EMC issues.

Measurements, using radio anechoic and EMC chambers for the radiated part and most types of RF measurement equipment for the conducted part, was done to ensure fulfillment of performance requirement and compliance with EN300328.

As a hearing aid is a medical devices I obtained an understanding of the design control
requirement for these type of products.

Administration of the "Frequency Act" and intergovernmental coordination of
frequency use.
In order to ensure efficient utilization of the frequency spectrum, the mobile operators
were obliged to report the amount of telecommunications traffic in their network.
Efforts were made to draw up common European rules for this. In this connection, I
was responsible for representing Denmark at the EU in Brussels.
I was also responsible for advising counties and municipalities when a mobile
operator wanted to set up masts in connection with the expansion of land mobile
services.
I was responsible for the radio technical side of this advice. In some cases, this
involved training the local staff with the technical responsibility.
