MyDefence is a leading provider of counter unmanned aerial systems, known as C-UAS or counter drone technology. As our business expands rapidly, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team, specializing in Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS).

You will report directly to our VP Sales and play a key role in delivering technical support, conducting system setups, and translating customer needs into actionable technical solutions. You will work closely with our sales team, providing demonstrations, installations, and ongoing support to our clients globally and you will travel 70-100 days per year.

What you will do:
Pre-sales and Demonstrations:

  • Conduct equipment setup for customer demonstrations in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Serve as a technical sparring partner for the sales team, offering expertise and insight to support sales efforts.

Site Preparation and Installation:

  • Perform site surveys at customer locations to assess installation requirements.
  • Plan and execute system network setups, including testing and calibration of C-UAS systems.
  • Install and oversee the deployment of C-UAS systems at customer sites.

Testing, Calibration, and Reporting:

  • Support testing and calibration of technical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Define and execute Site Acceptance Test (SAT) routines, and prepare detailed SAT reports.
  • Participate in ISO9000 procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Demo Equipment Maintenance:

  • Responsible for ensuring that all demonstration equipment is functioning properly.
  • After each demo, inspect the equipment for defects, and if any issues are identified, ensure repairs are completed before the equipment is sent for the next demo.
  • Maintain demo equipment in top condition, ready for immediate use.

Post-sales Support:

  • Provide ongoing maintenance and support for demonstration equipment and installed systems.
  • Assist customers with technical troubleshooting and resolve any system issues.

Product Development Feedback:

  • Collaborate with the product management team to provide input for future product designs or system upgrades based on customer feedback and field experience.

What you bring:
Education: Background in engineering, electronics, or a similar technical field.

Experience: Experience with radio systems and GPS technology is essential for the role. Military experience is a plus but not required.

Security clearance: You must be able to obtain security clearance.

Location and travel: You will be located at our office in Denmark and must be ready to travel 70-100 days per year.

Language skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken), comfortable with communicating with customers. Other languages are helpful but not required.

Personal skills: Confident and outgoing personality, comfortable presenting technology to customers. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. A proactive problem-solver who takes the lead when needed.
