We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Database Services team, overseeing multiple database technologies such as MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Team Overview: Your team will consist of IT Operations Specialists and Project Consultants, divided into two sub-teams: one focused on MSSQL and the other covering Oracle, DB2, and open-source databases. The team currently has 12 members, with plans to expand to 20 DBAs by 2024-2025. As part of a global team, collaboration will be essential, with daily interactions involving colleagues in Denmark and the Philippines.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Database Services team, ensuring efficient operations and high performance.
• Oversee team workloads, setting clear objectives, deadlines, and resource allocation.
• Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations.
• Drive service improvements, focusing on automation, optimization, and the implementation of innovative solutions.
• Support team development and performance, ensuring they are equipped to handle current and future operational needs.
• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas.
• Monitor and report on key metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate closely with global delivery centers, ensuring seamless cooperation across regions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong technical expertise in Database services (MSSQL, Oracle, DB2, and open-source databases), including operations, project deliveries, and automation.

• Proven leadership ability to effectively manage a large team (12+) of database administrators with diverse backgrounds, expertise levels, and seniority.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, ITSM processes, and Agile methodologies.
• Prior experience in IT Operations or IT Outsourcing environments.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in performance metrics
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, global work environment with a proactive and innovative mindset
