Our clients have many applications that are vital for their functioning. Many businesses are quite dependent on the software we take care of - if there wouldn’t be our team in place, pensions would be late, milk deliveries to the grocery stores would stop and entire rail transportation system would in chaos.

This support role is based in Applications Support team in Aeven, which also provides services within a wide range of other types of applications, from basic monitoring-based operations to full-stack platform management and consultancy.

You’ll be part of a team handling daily operational tasks, but consultancy as well, standardization and optimization of the workload for a wide variety of customers. The team consists of approximately 30 employees across in the Czech Republic [plus more in Denmark and Philippines], from operations-oriented generalists to deep specialists within various application related areas.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Providing Application level support to Danish clients, processing incidents and change requests, ensuring the highest level of service.
• Performing ticket resolution, healthchecks, log analysis, system maintenance and patching, root cause analysis and similar tasks.
• Participation in planned patching activities [often out-of-office hours], platform migrations, upgrades of existing systems etc.
• Taking part in certificate renewal, vulnerability patching, application start/stop, jobs scheduling and advanced reporting.
• Contribute to the teams’ knowledge-base by writing and updating KB articles and documentation.
• Automating and scripting tasks and processes through Continuous Operations Improvement
• Occasionally participate in night on-call duty support [rotation approx once a month or less].
  

Qualifications and experience:

• Familiarity with variety of Applications and its services
• Server management - Linux or Windows OS
• Incident handling and troubleshooting
• Business mindset with direct customer interaction experience
• Fluency in English, familiarity with ITIL, and work within international environment
